Belly dancing originated thousands of years ago in the cradle of civilisation in the Middle East.

The pure movements of the dance have been passed down through the ages. Belly dancing is a beautiful art form that helps improve posture, coordination, fitness and stress management. It can also increase body awareness, self esteem, and femininity.

How does the Belly Dancing course run?

Enjoy a gentle full body workout with particular attention to the pelvic floor, hips, thighs, stomach and shoulders.  Learn how to isolate and move parts of your body in ways you never thought possible! Each term will flow into the next and students will learn not only the fundamentals of this beautiful dance, but also 2 choreographies, in-class workshops, plus an optional end of semester break-up class dinner at a belly dance restaurnat close to the end of Term 3, so students will gain the most benefit by enrolling in as many courses this semester as possible!
