Japanese Sword and Stick Arts
Shinto Muso Ryu Jo (Japanese Sword and Stick Arts) is a classical Japanese martial art involve the use of a stick (Jo). This martial art was founded in the 17th century by Muso Gonnosuke.
How does the Japanese Sword and Stick Arts course run?
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basics (kihon waza) of the Shinto Muso Ryu sword (kenjutsu) and stick (jojutsu) techniques. Training consists of formal pre-arranged two-person forms (kata), so there's no free-sparring or competition. It's suitable for men and women regardless of fitness levels or previous experience. The minimum age for this course is 14 years.
