Kickboxing
Kickboxing is based on Muay Thai training and will not only teach you the skills and techniques of the Muay Thai Kickboxer but also improve your personal fitness. A professional fighter will teach you to throw effective punches, knees, elbows and kicks and more importantly how to defend yourself. This course is designed for beginners to develop self confidence in the basics of kickboxing and as an avenue to progress into further training. Both males and females are welcome.
How does the Lifestyle Program Kickboxing course run?
Train as the professionals train in the UQ Sport Martial Arts Gym. All classes are carefully structured and will progress week to week. Start your training with a warm up before you get into the fun stuff. Participants will engage in solo and partner drills using gloves, pads and kick shields. Elements of cardio and strength training will be incorporated into every class to improve your overall fitness and wellbeing.
