NEW, the Mixed Martial Arts Fitness course is based on the exciting and increasingly popular sport of MMA. MMA is an intense and dynamic sport comprising the most useful aspects of a variety of martial arts. Comprised of striking, wrestling, and submission moves, MMA training develops well-rounded fitness in an extremely functional and time efficient manner.

How does the Mixed Martial Arts Fitness course run?

These 5 week courses are designed for participants wanting to develop the fitness and endurance needed for sharp striking combinations, wrestling clinches, powerful ground and pound and submissions. You don’t have to be a fighter or martial artist! The sessions cater for all levels, from the complete beginner looking for an avenue for fitness to experienced fighters looking to get an edge over their competition. Using a range of equipment and ‘fight focused’ fitness techniques in the UQ Sport Martial Arts Gym, dedicated participants will see their fitness levels increase.
