Dynamic Vinyasa Yoga
Dynamic Vinyasa Yoga involves a flowing series of ‘asana’ (postures) designed to unify breath and movement. By creating heat and energy flow through the body, this style of yoga increases suppleness and awareness while also building strength and lightness of movement. Regular practice of Dynamic Vinyasa Yoga will build a strong, toned and supple body, improve fitness, balance and posture, and cultivate a calm and focused mind. Yoga enlivens and regenerates the body and enhances mental energy and balance. This course is suitable for both beginners and those with experience. Focus – strength and posture.
How does the Dynamic Vinyasa Yoga course run?
This class begins with centering the body through breath, followed by a warm up sequence and a traditional Astanga vinyasa flow sun salute. The class includes the teaching of specific breathing techniques applicable to vinyasa flow and an understanding of prana (life force energy flowing through the breath) as well as the energy centers and systems applicable to yoga. The class finishes with pranayama (specific yogic breathing techniques) and meditation. This is a joyful practice with a focus on connecting with oneself on a deeper level.
